A tour of brighton's asls

ASLs are advance stop lines. They are marked and designated areas where bikes can wait at junctions, protected from the cars, who must wait behind.

In Brighton, ASLs are easy to spot. They’re generally found underneath the white and green painted cars. These four photos were taken in the space of just eight minutes, walking from Brighton train station to Churchill Square.
